How do I find a farm? Use the search module on the left hand side of each page to find a farm near you. Start by inputing your zip code and the radius you want to drive. If no results were found then widen your search distance. Why should i register? Registering allows you to participate and share information. It just takes a minute to create a username and password. If you want you can post your picture and information. Some sections / actions may be restricted to registered users and you won't be able to see them unless your logged in. How do I register or login? Click here or scroll down to the bottom of the home page and you will see a "Login Form." Click on "Register" to register for the first time or insert your username and password in the fields provided if you have already registered. Why should I sign up for the Newsletter? Our newsletter will come no more than once per month and will contain helpful hints like what crops are now available, what are the latest articles on the site, planting growing or preserving tips and other useful information. You can always unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of the e-mail. How do I share recipes? Make sure you are logged in and then put your mouse over "Recipes" on the top menu and click on "Share Your Recipes." This will take you to a form where you can type in your recipe. Below the main entry box is an "Image" button which can be used to upload images. Choose the Section "Recipes" in the drop down box and Category (canning, freezing etc.) from the next drop down box. Be sure to click Save at the top of the page when you are done. You may leave everything else as it is but if you did not author the original content please give credit to the original author by typing their name in the "Author Alias" field. How do I find recipes? Putting your mouse over "Recipes" in the top menu and clicking on the category in the drop down menu like "Baking" will give you a list of the recipes for that category. You can also search all of the articles by typing in the search phrase in the search box and hitting "Go"
Become an Author or Moderator We are currently looking for authors and moderators to help the site grow and keep it clean and useful. If you have experience in any related subject and would like to share by writing a "How to --" article we would love to have your help. If you don't have expertise but appreciate what this site has and would like to help it grow you could be a moderator. This simply means logging in occasionally and approving images and articles. If interested please contact us and let us know. "Whats in it for me?" Well, if you already have a webpage, blog, or some other online business we can send traffic your way via link exchange, banner ad etc. If you have a farm or farm stand in the directory you will benefit by having higher traffic which is the result of more content on the site. Currently we are looking to add articles on planting, pruning and growing fruit trees like apples and pears.
